Jon van Laake is a private artist, who loves nature. Flora, fauna, and landscapes have always fascinated me.
Drawing and sketching is family tradition. My uncle, one of the leading ornithologist in the Netherlands, has drawn every Dutch bird type and probably most European birds as well. With such an example it's hard not to be inspired. Even when I was a child I was impressed by his skills. Now I get to follow his footsteps.
Thus, over the years and through many travels, some interesting pieces of art have come into being, which shall be introduced on these pages. Numerous ideas and projects remain to be accomplished in the future. Jon van Laake works freely. Some of his drawings and paintings are for sale, others not.
